1. Authors Voice
The purpose of this bear witness was to tell a message to the intended audicence (basically anyone, merely mainly pointing out to adults in society) that deaf multitude, or basically anyone with a disiblitly (blind, mental, physical), is fully exposed of doing the same things as state without disablilties, although they have a contrastive way of doing so. For example, Patricia Conrad was saying that she can remember when her dad would unhorse mad at her because she was running down the stairs tour he was sleeping. He woke up by the vibrations of her heavy steps, but a hearing person would still awake from the sound. The sense of smell of this essay is serious and annoyed bacuse she is fed up with people thinking the wrong impressions of deaf people. Sometimes, she is sarcastic. Also, by reading the essay over multiple times while I was qualification nones, I noticed different tones and small details that I wouldnt have otherwise. For example, originally I thought that the author had a valid point and that she expressed it in a way that represented the way that society truly is. Eventually though, I recognized the bias that she had against the hearing world.



This made her seem insincere because she had her own stereotypes against the hearing world, but still felt that she and her parents were toughened differently because of peoples opinions towards them.The thesis of this essay is societys face of ignorance towards deaf people labels them as uncapable and disabled people, while they can cope with spiritedness like any other human being.
