The New heavyweight by Emma Lazarus refers to millions of Europeans traveling to America. Europeans are access to America in search of hope, and a new life. The Colossus in the poetry is being portrayed as a male controlling figure; also the sr. world. The statue of liberty, also the New innovation is being represented by a woman. The New cosmos in the poem represents hope. In Lazarus poem the New orb is Portrayed al welcoming, a new scratch line, opportunity/hope, and a unspoiledr environment for Europeans.
In the poem safety is one(a) of the promises being offered in the New World. When we think of the word mother one of the things that stupefy to mind is safety. The line the mother of all exiles is an ideal of this (6). This is enounceing Europeans that they have a safe home to come to. To not be afraid to notice protected, unlike their old country they can tactile property secure about coming to America. America wants Europeans feel satisfying, to make them feel as welcome as if they were coming to be with their own mother. The new world also represents a new beginning, a new life for Europeans. Europeans were looking for a new beginning in the new world.
