Sociology I sat outside the drama hall prototypal while trying to observe carrell ph integrity system. Cell phones have draw a dangerous thing these days, almost comparable to ciggarettes. In my young memory only the two have become criminalise from certain aspects of life. Cell phones are not allowed in class due to their distractive nature, nor are they allowed in the car for text messaging. An teacher i once had said he would destroy both cell phones that he heard or saw in class. I interviewed my mom about her cell phone usage as most of the day i could not stand by ahold of her at work by call. She told me that her job forbids the use of cell phones for any non business related matters.

She told me that text messaging is fairly allowed but frowned apon. In many ways this is similar to kirkwood. I believe a teacher would rather let a texter text away if it is being done nonchalantly, If for no other reason to allow class to continue without distractions. It ultimately is a decision because to distract the entire class for sure by diciplining the student would most likely be more of a distraction then the student texting is. Cell phones have become a distraction not for their nature, but for the availability. Many people who should not have the distraction of a cell phone are able to because of our capitalistic economy.
