The Misfit in A Good Man is Hard to Find
In A Good Man Is disenfranchised to FindÂ, events are told from the grandmothers send of view, making her the central division of the story. We see at the stem of the story that she considers herself to be a lady. First by her translation of her traveling come outfit in comparison to what the mother wore slacks...still had her tomentum tied up in a green handkerchief. because by her mindset that if in that location were to be an accident, anyone seeing her bloodless on the highway would cut at once that she was a lady. The question she asks of the Misfit, You wouldnt shoot a lady, would you?  clearly states this. Further into interpretation the story we see she has in truth un-lady standardised qualities. Right from the beginning her macrocosm self-centered is shown by her trying to get a pre-planned vacation destination revisiond. She wanted to assure some of her connections ...and she was seizing at every chance to change Baileys mind. Further on in the sto ry it is shown again by her getting Bailey to change course of action to stop at a plantation house. The grandmother also thinks of herself as morally prize to others. This is shown when she tells Bailey that she wouldnt take her children in the wariness that a criminal like that  was loose in. I couldnt execute my conscience if I did. It seems she is pointing out how morally superior she is in just this one statement.\nThe grandmothers swear to return to the past, when people were nice, regardful and trus tworthy are shown in her conversation with Red Sammy. These old age you dont know who to trust  he says as he sits round at a tabulate next to the family. He tells them of how two fellers  had stolen gas the week originally by charging and never access ba ck to pay. Now why did I do that?  he asks. Because you...
