The Peaceful Home Place
The Lake islet of Innisfree by William Butler Yeats is a verse form describing a confine back in the woods away from the world in which a man is going to grow his own nourishment and raise bees to survive because he enjoys the sound of the water and dis wants alive in the city. The tone of the poem is laid back and console because he is describing this quaint little cabin with everything he postulate to survive is all right there. In the poem it seems like a simple life because of the word choice is pretty basic and old-fashioned. For Example the author uses manner of speaking like wattles, glade, linnets, and lapping. These row are not very common but they liquefy well with the theme of the poem. William Butler Yates does a good pedigree of using descriptive word choice and vivid mental stovery to provide a reader with a visual image and an overall tone of the poem they are reading.
Throughout this poem mental imagery helps creates the overall meaning, the tone, and the theme of the poem. The language within the imagery is fairly simple but is extremely descriptive. And a downcast cabin build there, of clay and wattles made. (2). This Line along with others is worded other than than you would expect.
Instead of saying I will build a small cabin like most writing he says a small cabin build there. It is unlike but it works well because he uses this technique throughout the poem. Using different techniques creates uniqueness which makes the imagery and the poem itself die hard out from other writing. Nine bean-rows will I begin there, a hive for the honey-bee, (3). Again in this line the wrangling paint a picture of the cabin with the food supplement and the bees. The imagery in this poem is complex yet it is sluttish to comprehend and understand. Also in Line 3 the terminology Nine bean rows will I have there are flipped around from what you would expect.
